LOS ANGELES – Giannis Antetokounmpo hits 40 points in a row for the second time in a row as a Milwaukee Bucks maintained their undefeated start to the NBA season with a 110-99 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.

Antetokounmpo single-handedly pulled Milwaukee back in a gripping clash at the Fiserv Forum, scoring 17 points in a third-quarter rally, turning a 12-point first-half shortfall into two.

Antetokounmpo added 17 points in the fourth half to finish with a total of 43 points as the Bucks equalized to end the win and make it 3-0.

Former NBA Most Valuable Player Antetokounmpo scored 44 points in his final game against Houston on Saturday and has averaged 36 points per game this season.

Brooklyn, meanwhile, saw head coach Steve Nash dropped at the end of the third quarter following an unusual outburst from the Canadian Family Hall.

Nash flared up in rage, apparently furious after officials failed to ban Antetokounmpo from fouling after the Bucks star took out Brooklyn’s Patty Mills.

A bright Nash needs to be pushed out by the Nets players and coaching staff before returning to the locker room.

Nash was knocked out at a time when momentum returned to Milwaukee, who recovered from being beaten 35-18 in the second half to overtake Brooklyn 35-21 in the third.

Brooklyn took a four-point lead as Nash was pushed out but Antetokounmpo took over to lead the Bucks to a well-deserved victory.

Kevin Durant led the Nets’ scoreboard with 33 points while Kyrie Irving added 27 and Royce O’Neale 12. Ben Simmons finished with four.

Elsewhere on Wednesday, Gary Trent Jr scored 27 points, including five threes, as the Toronto Raptors beat the Philadelphia 76ers for their fourth loss of the season.

Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey each scored 31 points for the Sixers, but the visitors were decimated by a balanced attacking effort from hosts Toronto, who had six players in doubles.

Pascal Siakam had 20 points with 13 assists and five rebounds as the Raptors led virtually from start to finish to make it 3-2.

The Sixers lost 1-4.

In Detroit, Trae Young racked up 35 points for a visit to Atlanta when the Hawks shot down Pistons 118-113.

John Collins added 19 points while De’Andre Hunter finished with 17 for Atlanta. Bojan Bogdanovic leads the Pistons with 33 points.

In Cleveland, Orlando’s No. 1 draft pick, Paolo Banchero brilliantly picked up 29 points but couldn’t stop the Magic from sliding to a 103-92 defeat to the Cavaliers.

Banchero shot 10-19 from the field but the Cavs sealed the victory thanks to 22 points from Evan Mobley and 18 points from Jarrett Allen.
