NBA: Former Jazz players shine for Timberwolves in road win

D’Angelo Russell hit six 3-pointers in the fourth inning and scored 30 to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 118-108 win over the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City on Friday night.

Rudy Gobert added 22 points and 13 rebounds in his first game in Utah since being transferred to Minnesota from the Jazz this season. Gobert, who is still loved in Utah, received a warm reception from Jazz fans and a standing ovation following a tribute video earlier in the night.

Minnesota saw its halftime 15-point lead disappear in the third inning, and the Jazz took a one-point lead in the final minutes, but Russell hit 3 seconds straight to take the Timberwolves to victory on the road. Minnesota beat Utah 12-4 in the long run.

Malik Beasley, one of the few players transferred to Utah with four first-round draft picks, leads the Jazz with 23 points and five 3-pointers. Jarred Vanderbilt, also part of that deal, had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Utah.

Jordan Clarkson contributed 21 points to the Jazz, while Mike Conley scored a total of 17 points and 6 assists from the bench in his first game back after being absent for nearly a month through injury. knee injury.
