NBA: De’Aaron Fox clutch anew, Kings edge Bulls

De’Aaron Fox scored 15 points in the fourth inning as part of his team’s top 32 and sank the 3-point pointer of the game’s victory just before the whistle blew, and The Sacramento Kings started the four-game run with a 117-114 defeat by the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday.
Fox’s big closing time started at 6:25 in the fourth round when he hit a 3-pointer with the help of Domantas Sabonis. The pass gave Sabonis his second brace in as many games and finished 11th of the season, as he finished with 14 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists.
Starting with that trio, Fox scored 12 points in the final 6:25, including a pull-up jump with 41.1 seconds remaining that proved crucial throughout the stretch.

The basket gave Sacramento a six-point lead, and the Kings needed every bit as Chicago continued to lead 8-2.
Zach LaVine scored four points, part of his 25 for the competition, while DeMar DeRozan scored four with 12.5 seconds left to end the game in 114th place.
Fox’s 4th-round heroics overshadowed a crucial closing time for DeRozan, who hit three of his four 3-pointers for the game during this time period and finished with 16 of the top 33 points of the match in the last 12 minutes.

Chicago took a 16-point lead in the second quarter before Sacramento fought back. The second half was exciting and the two teams ended the night with 20 substitutions leading and 13 draws.
Along with Fox and Sabonis, Sacramento had a double-digit performance from subs Malik Monk (19), Harrison Barnes (17) and Kevin Huerter (15). Monk did most of his work from outside the arc, sinking 5 out of 8 3-point attempts.
Nikola Vucevic scored 20 points and won the highest 14 rebounds for Chicago. Patrick Beverley won 11 rebounds for three points and two shots were saved.
