NBA: Clippers rally late in 4th quarter, top Pistons in OT

Paul George scored 32 points and made 11 assists and the away team Los Angeles Clippers, who recovered from a 14-point deficit in the final three minutes of regulation time, won the game. extra time 142-131 against the Detroit Pistons on Monday.

Luke Kennard has 18 points for Los Angeles, while Marcus Morris Sr., Norman Powell and John Wall each have 16.

George gave the Clippers the lead through a steal and dribble with four minutes remaining. The Clippers overcame the Pistons 14-3 in extra time with George scoring half of their points.

Bojan Bogdanovic leads 8 Pistons with a double figure with 23 points. Isaiah Stewart has 21 points, Killian Hayes scores 18 points with 10 assists and Jalen Duren adds 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Reggie Jackson scored all of his 14 points in the first half as the Clippers led 66-61 in the first half.

The Clippers opened the second half with a 13-6 scoreline.

A pair of George’s free throws with a 7:26 score remaining in the inning extended Los Angeles’ lead to 86-71. The Pistons soon cut the deficit to 4 with 11 non-responders, including 5 by Duren.

Detroit took the lead 92-91 thanks to Stewart’s quick pitch. Hamidou Diallo hit a 20-foot long shot after a Clippers swing in the last second of the half, giving the Pistons a 100-96 advantage.

Ivica Zubac hit a hook with 7:14 left in the fourth round to take Detroit’s 113-112 lead. The Pistons then reeled with 13 points without an answer, including a 3-pointer from Stewart and a Bogdanovic shot after a Hayes assist. Stewart capped it with a three-point match.

Clippers responded with a score of 16-2, forcing extra time. Powell came back with a 3-pointer and Nicolas Batum also knocked a long ball in the same amount of time. George had a chance to equalize with 21.2 seconds left but split two free throws, giving Detroit a 127-126 lead.

Hayes was then fouled and also made one of the two fouls from the line. Terance Mann tied with his first basket of the game with five seconds left. Bogdanovic missed the chance to win by 3 points when he whistled.
