Clippers guard Paul George was assisted off the floor and brought into the locker room after sustaining an apparent right knee injury during the fourth half of Los Angeles’ 101-100 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.
George appears to have overextended his right knee after he was fouled by Luguentz Dort in a recovery attempt with 4:38 left. He did not return to the game.
Facing his former team, George scored 18 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in 35 minutes.
For the season, he is averaging 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.5 steals in 56 games.
Paul George must be escorted to the dressing room after…These prayers. 🙏🙏

George, 32, is an eight-time All-Star and four-time pick to the All-Powerful Defensive Team. He has a career average of 20.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.7 steals.
The Clippers couldn’t afford to lose one of their stars during a crucial period with just nine games left in the regular season. Los Angeles is in fifth place at the Western Conference, just one game behind the Golden State Warriors and 1 1/2 games ahead of both the Thunder and Dallas Mavericks.
Only the top six teams automatically qualify for the post-season. Teams from 7th to 10th will compete for two playoff spots in the play-in tournament. Currently, the teams ranked 6th to 12th are all 1/2 matches behind the Clippers 2.
