NBA: Clippers blow past Rockets
Paul George scored a top 22 for the team, Reggie Jackson added 17 and the Los Angeles Clippers recorded a 122-106 win over the Houston Rockets on Monday.
George regularly hit the ball in time to help the Clippers maintain a favorable rate. He picked up just three points in the opening half, missing all five of his shots, but scored a total of 19 in the two periods between as the Clippers made it 3-0 against Houston this season.
The Rockets, after playing 10 of their first 13 games on the road, gave up going home after a four-game run. Including Monday, the Rockets will play 13 of their 19 home games.

Jackson is a capable second shooter, shooting 7 for 11 overall and 3 for 7 from behind the arc while adding six assists to his ledger. George had 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. Marcus Morris Sr. scored 15 points in a 6 to 9 shoot for the Clippers, who shot a total of 50.6% and received 51 points from their bench.
Jalen Green overtook the Rockets with 25 points and seven assists and six more rebounds. Kevin Porter Jr scored 20 points and 7 rebounds but missed 12 of 18 shots and made only 8 of 15 from the free throw. Houston shot 9 out of 30 on 3 pointers and 61.3 percent from the line.
Green and Alperen Sengun excelled early on for the Rockets, combining for 12 when shooting 6/11 in the opening phase. But the Clippers took the lead with a 10-2 lead scored by two players Luke Kennard three points in Houston’s first leg, the second giving the Clippers a 24-17 lead.

When the Clippers opened the second half with a score of 8-0, they pushed the score to 39-23, the biggest score of the first half. The Rockets took the lead in round seven on a Sengun free throw but George responded with a quick five to help the Clippers regain control before the break.
The Rockets were undone by poor ball protection and poor shooting in the first half. The Clippers turned Houston’s 11 goals into 16 points before the break while the Rockets missed 10 of 13 3-pointers. When substitutes Norman Powell (17 points) and Terance Mann (14 points) consecutively scored with less than eight minutes remaining, the Clippers took the lead 108-87.
