NBA: Bucks build big edge, hold off Hornets for fifth straight win

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 34 points and picked up 18 rebounds, and the Milwaukee Bucks survived a turbulent fourth quarter to record a fifth straight win, beating away the Charlotte Hornets 124-115 on Tuesday.

Milwaukee had gone almost seven minutes between goals scored in the fourth half, and Charlotte gradually took the Bucks’ 17-point lead with less than seven minutes to five points with just over a minute left.

The foul proved to be enough for Milwaukee to keep the Hornets at bay, as the Bucks won 5/6 at the bottom line in 1:14 on aggregate.

Milwaukee’s Jrue Holiday has 15 points and 13 bounces. Khris Middleton came on from the bench to score 18 points, Wesley Matthews added 11 as a substitute and Grayson Allen scored all 12 when shooting 4/9 3 points.

Milwaukee finished 15 of 44 (34.1%) from the deep and 41% from the field. Charlotte shot 11 of 39 (28.2%) from outside the arc and 37.8% from the floor.
