Dolor scored 12 points, providing 5 out of 10 blocks for his Navy to take home his first win in two games and take down the Laguna-based team in just 76 minutes.
Geffrey Alicando also leads the Sea Lions by 10 points, including three aces, while Christian Marcelino and Jemmy Entig each add nine points.
Setter Owen Suarez made 14 outstanding sets, with Marvin Villanueva and Jude Garcia scoring 8 and 7 points respectively.
Navy assistant coach Leah Ariola, who replaced coach Cecille Cruzada due to an emergency, was pleased to see her team’s reaction, after losing 5 sets to the Army.
“We learned our lesson from the defeat against the Army. Because during that time we lacked communication and didn’t work as a team,” Ariola said in Filipino. “I just told them not to underestimate [Sta. Rosa] because they are young, energetic and the ball is round.”
Navy improves the record 1-1, while Sta. Rosa received her third defeat in a row.
No one from the City Lions scored double the number with Anrie Bakil scoring 9 as they drilled only 22 spikes compared to the Navy’s 41 kills.
