Natural Gas Took a Dive. Warmer winters could drive prices down.
Natural gas prices were poised for their biggest annual percentage gain in 23 years before erasing most of that gain in about six sessions this month. The US market shifted from worries about tight supply to the possibility of demand for heating fuels falling due to warmer weather forecast.
“The volatility in natural gas is very high,” said Robert Yawger, director of energy futures at Mizuho Americas. “It is the land of the brave.”
