Nats will keep Soto for the rest of the season if the asking price is not met

Monday is before the MLB transaction deadline. The Citizens of Washington supposedly doesn’t mind letting this summer’s Juan Soto sweepstakes happen without any winners.

On Friday it was reported that States will do a final offered to extend the contract for the All-Star twice. However, as reported by MLB insider, Hector Gomez, if Soto does not accept the final offer, he will be traded ahead of time.

USA Today’s Bob Nightengale also added Monday morning that while the Padres and Cardinals have been considered forerunner to land Soto, the Dodgers took much over”ferocious“recently in their commercial proposals.

Washington’s general manager, Mike Rizzo, last week said the group was talking to “some teams“about the availability of the Off-Road Champion.

Soto achieved 20 home runs and scored one leading the league 88 walks, while registering a .243/.403/.475 slash across 341 bats this season.
