Nato chief: Poland strike was most likely from Ukrainian air defence

Nato agrees with Poland’s initial assessment of Wednesday’s missile attack, which most likely came from Ukraine’s air defenses.
Speaking to the BBC, general secretary Jens Stoltenberg said “accidents happen” during the war but Russia is still responsible. He said Russia must bear “ultimate responsibility” and said “it would not have happened if Russia had not waged a brutal war of aggression against Ukraine”.
He stressed the need not to let mistakes of this kind “get out of control”, adding that there are lines of communication between the US and Russia, between NATO and Russia.
