National Cancer Awareness Day: Cancer burden predicted to go up to 30 million by 2025; how knowing early signs can help

The most common cancer sites in men are the lungs, mouth, esophagus, stomach, and liver. Overall, lung cancer accounts for 10.6% of all cancers in the country, followed by breast, esophageal, mouth and stomach cancers.
More than 40% of the total cancer burden is contributed by the top seven cancer sites – lung (10.6%), breast (10.5%), esophagus (5.8%), mouth (5.7) %), stomach (5.2%), liver (Research said 4.6%) and uterus and cervix (4.3%).
