Nancy Pelosi reveals husband Paul is not ‘himself’ months after attack – Hollywood Life

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi explained that her husband Paul still recovering from his horrific attack by a home invader in October. The Democratic congresswoman, 82, revealed that doctors told her husband, 82, will likely be more “who he is” in a few months in a new interview on the internet. Who’s talking to Chris Wallace above CNN and HBOMax.

During the interview, Chris Wallace Nancy asked Paul how he was three months after the attack. She explained that the doctors said it would probably take a little longer. “He was out there, because the doctor said he had to have something to look forward to, and so again, someday,” she said. “Anyone with a head injury knows you have to be very careful. You have to be careful about the movement. You have to be careful about the light. You have to be careful about the sound. It just takes a while. According to the doctors, it will probably be three or four months before he truly is himself.”

Besides giving an update on how the recovery went, the former Speaker of the House explained that she felt guilty that his attacker had been looking for her. “He is still fine. It will take a while for him to return to normal. I feel very sad about that, because of what happened, but also sadder because who are looking for me,” she said. “My dear husband, who doesn’t even really do politics like that, has paid the price.”

Since the attack, Paul has attended a handful of events with Nancy and appeared to be in good spirits during his public appearances. He joined his wife at the Kennedy Honor Center about a month after the December attack and seemed happy to be out.

Nancy sometimes has certain update about Paul’s situation since he was attacked, and she thanked her colleagues for their support when she announced that she would Resigned as Leader of the Democratic Party in the House of Representatives. In her first statement after the attack, she said the invasion had shaken the whole family. “Our children, grandchildren and I are heartbroken and traumatized by the life-threatening attack on our father,” she said.
