Fresh from it buy back Bollinger In early September, American electric vehicle startup Mullen last week announced plans for a version of the Cross year coming with performance to rival the plaid versions of the Tesla’s Model S and Model X.
First unveiled at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show, the Mullen Five is a compact crossover designed to take on the Tesla Model Y and Volkswagen ID.4. However, Mullen is developing a Five RS flagship that will boast more than 1,000 horsepower, or enough to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds, placing it in a similar league with other models. Tesla’s Plaid, as well as Rimac’s Nevera supercar.
The Five RS is expected to be revealed next spring. Other confirmed specs include a top speed of over 200 mph, made possible by the 2-speed transmission, as well as an 800-volt electrical system, which allows for quick charge times when in use. DC fast charger.

Mullen plans to build the Five crossovers at a plant in Tunica, Mississippi. The base version will start at around $55,000 and come with a 325-mile range and enough horsepower to accelerate from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. The company previously only had until 2024 to start shipping.
Mullen has also shown a sports car before called Dragonfly K50although the timing for this pattern is unclear.
With the recent acquisition of Bollinger, Mullen plans to launch Bollinger-branded electric commercial trucks. It will also revive the plans for Bollinger B1 and B2 . electric pickups and SUVs.
Mullen will introduce the new Five and Five RS on a promotional tour across the United States, called the Standout Difference tour. Tour details will be announced at a later date but Mullen has confirmed that they will have an IndyCar racer to showcase the Five RS’s performance and offer the rides to the public.
