Former Uttar Pradesh Minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Mulayam Singh Yadav, Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav’s health deteriorated on Sunday and he was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Medanta hospital in Gurugram.

The SP’s 82-year-old leader was hospitalized for several days but on Sunday he was transferred to the ICU after his condition worsened.

Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav arrives in Delhi from Lucknow as soon as he receives word of his father’s health. Mulayam Singh known as Netaji- founded the Samajwadi Party. He currently represents Mainpuri constituency in Lok Sabha.

Previously, the wife of Samajwadi Party chief Sadhna Gupta passed away in July this year.

She is being treated at a private hospital in Gurugram for a lung infection.

Sadhana Gupta is the second wife of Mulayam Singh Yadav. His first wife, Maalti Devi died in 2003. Maalti Devi is the mother of Akhilesh Yadav.
