Mozilla bundles security, VPN to protect you from Black Friday scams
Mozilla has announced its Firefox security package Browser combines two of its main protection tools to save quite a bit of time for Black Friday.
The package includes two products, starting with Firefox Relay. Mozilla claims to have received thousands of signups since launching lowkey in 2020, saving 1.5 million unwanted emails from reaching users’ inboxes.
The company says it now hopes to protect more Internet shoppers from parting with their sensitive information at checkout.
Mozilla VPN and Firefox Relay
Relay works by creating up to five email masks to hide your real email address when filling out free online forms. Mozilla also increased the email limit size to 10MB in 2022 and created a Chrome extension to meet customer needs.
Premium users get unlimited email masks as well as phone number masks that work in a similar way.
The second product that forms part of the agreement is Mozilla VPN. It works like any other VPN to obscure your IP address and keep your information safe, there’s even the option to use two VPNs (known as multi-hop) at the same time for security. extra protection.
There is no official name for this duo, but users can sign up from either Mozilla VPN Site (opens in a new tab) or Firefox transition page (opens in a new tab) for $6.99 per month when purchased in an annual plan.
This combination will appeal to users who not only want to protect their data but also value an easy solution under one roof. Currently paid iCloud+ Package (opens in a new tab) (starts at $0.99 per month) comes with a similar Hide My Email feature, but lacks the phone number mask. The iCloud Private Forwarding works in a similar way to a VPN but is fundamentally different.
Google One Plans (opens in a new tab) get a VPN connection, although it’s only the most premium plan that comes with 2TB of storage, costs $9.99 per month, and it’s only available as a mobile app. However, all plans lack email masking functionality.
