Moto G53 Appears on GCF Certification Site, Expected Global Launch Soon: All Details


Motorola’s Moto G53 owned by Lenovo was launched in China last month. Its global variant is expected to launch soon and the handset has been spotted on various certification sites including BIS India, FCC and TDRA. A listing on the Global Certification Forum website reveals the presence of a Motorola smartphone with model number XT2335-1. According to the previous listing, this model number is said to be related to the global version Moto G53. GCF certification is required for all devices connected to the mobile network.

The listing didn’t provide any specs of the device, but it hints at an impending handset release. In terms of features and design, global Moto G53 is said to be substantial from its Chinese variant.

The Moto G53 5G launched in China is a dual-SIM (nano) phone running on Android 13 with My UI 5.0 on top and featuring a 6.5-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) LCD display with blazing fast refresh rate. new 120Hz, a 20:9 aspect ratio and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The Motorola the phone is driven by an undisclosed octa-core Snapdragon SoC and up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Available memory can be increased to 11GB.

The Chinese variant has a dual 50-megapixel rear camera setup and an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie camera. Moto G53 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

According to previous report, the Moto G53 5G global variant will feature Android 13-based MyUI. It is said to have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. This phone may include a 5,000mAh battery with Turbo fast charging support. Motorola has not released any information about its availability or pricing. The global variant will also feature a 6.6-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC.

The upcoming smartphone could feature a triple rear camera setup, along with a 50-megapixel main camera. An 8-megapixel secondary sensor and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor are also expected to be on the handset. According to the report, the global model Moto G53 5G is said to have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
