Mumbai:
The body of a 40-year-old model was found hanged from a fan in a hotel room in the Andheri area of Mumbai on Thursday.
According to police, the model checked into the hotel around 8 p.m. Wednesday and also ordered dinner.
On Thursday, she didn’t open the door after the housekeeping staff called several times. The hotel manager then informed the police.
Upon arrival at the hotel, when the police unlocked the room with the master key, the model’s body was found hanging from a fan.
Police also recovered a suicide note on the spot.
On the suicide note, the model wrote: “I’m sorry. No one is responsible for this. I’m not happy. I just need to be at peace.”
Versova police registered a case under the ADR and sent the body for autopsy. The investigation is underway. Details are pending.
