Missile Suspension Kevin Porter Jr., Christian Wood
The Houston Rockets ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Tim MacMahon reported on Monday.
No players were on the field for the second half of Saturday’s loss to the Denver Nuggets after each made a half-time change with assistant coach John Lucas.
Wood is angry that he was sidelined to start the game as punishment for missing the team’s daily COVID-19 test. After appearing nonchalant when called on, head coach Stephen Silas decided not to let Wood on for the second half.
Porter wasn’t even in the building for the second half of Saturday’s game, MacMahon report at that time. The keeper, who has dealt with behavioral issues famously during his career, exploded onto the bench in the first half after Lucas had some criticism levied against him. The disagreement resulted in an altercation during halftime which resulted in Porter having to leave the arena altogether.
Cleveland Cavaliers Porter transaction to the Rockets last January after he had an outburst of anger at team officials for moving his locker to an auxiliary area to make room for Prince Taurean.
