Mira Sorvino mourning her father Paul’s passed away at the age of 83 with a touching message for him on Twitter, on Monday, July 25. Immediately after Goodfellas The star’s death has been announced, she tweeted a message expressing her love for her father. “My father, the great Paul Sorvino, has passed away. My heart is like a mercenary – a life of love, fun and wisdom with him is over,” she wrote.

While heartbreakingly writing that her time with her father is over, Mira, 54, also writes about how much she loves her late father and sings his praises as a parent. “He was the best dad ever. I love him very much. I am sending you love in the stars Dad as you ascend to heaven,” she wrote. Besides her tweet, she also posted a black square on her body Instagram.
Like her father, Mira is an actress, and she even won the 1996 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in Mighty Aphrodite (1995). During her Oscar acceptance speech, she thanked her father, and he became emotional when she said he was her main acting teacher. “When you give me this award, you honor my father Paul Sorvino, who taught me everything I know about acting.
