Mini to preview new design language with Aceman electric crossover concept
Mini has created a new design language for its next generation of vehicles, the first member will be redesigned electric hardtop due next year.
The new language, called Charismatic Simplicity, will be previewed on a mini electric car concept that will debut on July 27.
The concept will bear the Aceman name, and a teaser video posted Monday on Mini’s social media channels hints at a clean, sharp design.

Maybe Aceman is a preview of the planned electric Mini crossover location below Countryman. The new crossover, possibly named Paceman, will be available next year. One Countryman redesigned offering a choice of electric or internal combustion will also launch next year.
Don’t expect a design revolution in the case of Captivating Simplicity, as the Mini is unlikely to abandon the iconic Alec Issigonis design that has defined its brand. However, larger differences between the models were planned.
A new focus on sustainability is also planned. Look for things like leather and chrome trim that have disappeared or are significantly reduced, says Mini. And as is the case with most brands these days, the Mini will go the digital route (with a planned circular touchscreen) for the dashboard, but thankfully it will continue to deliver physical controls for key functions, including its popular toggle switches.
