Microsoft launches Outlook Lite app: Features, how to download, and more


Microsoft has finally launched Outlook Lite app for Android. As the name implies, the new email client from the company is a stripped-down version of the original Outlook app. According to the company, the Outlook Lite app is designed to deliver faster performance and reduce battery consumption in a smaller package of apps.
Microsoft Outlook Lite: Features
In terms of features, the app retains all the core features of the regular Outlook app like access to email, calendar, contacts, and more. In addition, the application works with all networks including 2G and 3G networks.
Outlook Lite app supports Outlook.com, Hotmail, Direct, MSNMicrosoft 365 and Microsoft Exchange Online Accounts.
Outlook Lite is currently available in 14 countries including India, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and Venezuela.
The company has also confirmed that the app will be available in more regions in the future.
Outlook Lite has a download size of around 5MB and Microsoft has confirmed that it only requires 1GB smack run. Microsoft claims it also uses fewer resources than a regular app, resulting in smoother performance and better battery life on smartphones.
How to download Outlook Lite app
If you happen to live in the regions mentioned above, the app is now available for download from the Google Play Store.
Just open the app store and search for the Outlook Lite app. Tap the Outlook Lite app from the list of search results and tap the Install button.
