Michelle Obama proved once again she is a style and fashion icon! The 58-year-old former First Lady was spotted rocking a luxury ensemble in New York City on Saturday (September 10). Enjoying the last days of summer weather, Michelle sported a simple white t-shirt with high-waisted, baggy denim and a pair of intense black and white snakeskin sneakers, as pictured here. She led the enviable look with a pair of gold designer sunglasses and matching earrings.
The outing comes just a few days after Michelle and her husband Barack Obama61 years old, released their official portraits in the White House. In a ceremony attended by President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill BidenThe couple celebrated their loveliness put on canvas by two contemporary artists: Robert McCurdywho drew the image of Barack, and Sharon Sprung, who created the portrait of Michelle. The former First Lady wore a custom Jason Wu Collection gown.
“Often in this country, people feel like they have to look a certain way or act a certain way to fit in, that they have to make a lot of money or come from a certain group or class or virtue. certain beliefs to be important,” said Michelle at the premiere.“But what we are looking at today – a portrait of a biracial child with an unusual name and the daughter of one water pump operator and a stay-at-home mom – what we’re seeing is a reminder that there’s a place for everyone in this country,”
Michelle and Barack were both smiling at the event, as it was clear they were still together after getting married in 1992! To celebrate their most recent anniversary in October, Michelle posted side-by-side photos of herself with POTUS before, one recent and the other a snap. “How it started compared to how it went,” she wrote in the caption. “Happy anniversary, Barack — love you!”
Barack also took to Instagram, writing, “I love watching the world get to know you not just as the daughter of the South Side, but as a mother, lawyer, executive, author, My first lady and best friend. I can’t imagine life without you.”
