Michael Rainey Jr. has broken his silence over a viral video showing streamer Tylil’s sister sexually harassing him. The woman has not yet spoken out independently, but her brother twice addressed the disturbing footage.
The ‘powerful’ actor spoke out against sexual assault
When Rainey Jr. came as a guest on Tylil’s livestream, the last thing he expected was for a girl to grab his genitals. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what Tylil’s sister did to Michael while hundreds of people watched her brother speak out about doing anything to go “viral.”
Michael shared on June 10 via text: “I’m still in shock and don’t know how to process what happened last night.” “This is an unfortunate situation that I cannot condone in any way. I cannot take this lightly because I know I would be in serious trouble if the roles were reversed.”
He went on to say that “Sexual assault is never acceptable, regardless of gender or status.”
“We are all human beings and we should respect each other. The most important thing is that we must always respect ourselves.” the actor wrote.

Tylil later spoke on video, assuring viewers that he was upset about the incident and intended to “check on” his sister. He added that his siblings are not used to being in the presence of A-list celebrities.

However, following his video statement, the backlash against the streamer continued. Many social media users emphasized that the situation would have been more serious if the roles had been retained, a point Michael also made in his statement.
Before Michael broke his silence, Tylil issued a written apology on his social media platforms. He called his sister’s actions “highly inappropriate and unacceptable.” Additionally, the streamer made it clear that he does not “condone assault of any kind.”
Ultimately, Tylil said he fully “respects” any actions Michael Rainey Jr. takes. choose to respond to physical harassment.
