Tall Oaks, a hybrid of Avie’s Flatter, the 2018 Canadian 2-year-old champion, will be taking a break from competition to teach classes at Ontario’s Colebrook Ranch. Cup and Saucer S. winner and Futurity Crowned at the age of two, he continued in third place to win Keeneland’s GIII Kentucky Utilities Transylvania S. and claim a spot in each stage of the Canadian Triple Crown. Between the ages of four and six, he won both the GII Neartic S. and the GII Connaught Cup, and was placed in the GII Eclipse S. and GIII Bold Venture S. He retired with a 20-7-3-3 record. and career earnings $947,338.

Coach Josie Carroll said: “Avies Flatter will be missed a lot in our cage. “He is not only one of our most talented horses, but also a great personality. As a top horse for almost 5 years, he has never failed 100%. I can’t wait to be a part of his legacy.”
