Mets’ Chris Bassitt: MLB has ‘huge problem’ with baseball
Chris Bassitt and New York Mets All should have been smiling on Tuesday night after they beat St. Louis Cardinals with a 3-0 scoreline and a best-ever sixth straight win to start the season.
But the right-handed player was more frustrated than anything else because three of his teammates had the ball sink while the disc. That brings the total number of Mets players making pitches to the league top 18 at the start of the season.
In Bassitt’s mind, the point is that all baseballs used across the league are different – and the MLB doesn’t care about making them uniform.
“MLB has a huge problem with baseball,” Bassitt told the press after the game. “They’re terrible. Everyone in the league knows it. Every pitcher knows it. They’re terrible. They don’t care. MLB doesn’t care about it. They don’t care. We’ve been told. with them our problems with them, and they don’t care.”
