Metro Boomin partners with Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation for ‘Single Moms Are Super Heroes’ Initiative
On the heel of his hit HEROES & Criminals album, Metro Boomin will join Steve and Marjorie Harvey to start a meaningful initiative running under his beloved superhero theme.
Metro Boomin makes a powerful statement at an NFL game
The campaign is called “Single Moms Are Superheroes,” and it was announced Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Specifically, the music producer bought tickets for 26 single mothers and their children to enjoy the game between the Atlanta Falcons and the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, TMZ reported that Metro itself chose not to attend so that mothers became the focus of the event.
The store has also captured footage of the guests in question, and they appear to be having a good time wearing matching shirts that read: “Single moms are superheroes. really”. They even got to spend time on the pitch and really enjoy the moment.
Metro Boomin celebrated the initiative with an upload of his own, which he shared via Instagram on Monday. In his caption, he warmly wrote: “Single moms know they’ve got my heart!!”
Besides, Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation have shared videos on social media as well.
This move comes six months after Metro tragically lost its mother
The “Single Mom is a Superhero” initiative is a meaningful way for Metro to give back to the community. It is also a way for him to pay tribute to his deceased mother, TMZ report.
Like Shade room previously reported, Metro Boomin’s mother—Leslie Joanne Wayne—was found dead earlier this year. She is said to have been killed by her husband, who died by suicide.
This sad tragedy comes just about a month after the music producer shared a photo of him and his mother to celebrate Mother’s Day.
Beneath the old photo, Metro wrote: “Happy Mother’s Day to my best friend and true Queen. My real life twin, I love you always and unconditionally.
