Metal Gear Solid 6: everything we know so far

Will there ever be a 6 . solid metal gearbox? Even though it’s been a long time since 5 . solid metal gearbox Coming to our screens, the Metal Gear series is iconic enough and so rooted in game history that we think it’s hard for Konami to completely abandon the series.

Metal Gear Games is a series of third-person stealth action games that follow a decades-long story. The games deal with themes of family, free will, and nuclear proliferation, often using bombastic genre and cinematic flair to explore difficult and nuanced themes.

Metal Gear’s stealth action elements have always emphasized resourcefulness and lateral thinking, renowned for rewarding players for out-of-the-box strategies that, ironically, sometimes involve hiding within box. The most recent entry in the franchise, 2018 Metal gear: Survive, is Konami’s first attempt at the new Metal Gear since the departure of the series’ creator, Hideo Kojima. It attempted to add elements of co-op survival to the stealth formula but was considered a failure by many. Hopefully the sequel will give Konami a chance to learn from his mistakes.

Metal Gear is currently in a strange limbo. Hideo Kojima, now working at his own studio, cut ties with Konami long ago. However, Konami still owns the copyright to the series. So far, Konami has released only one Metal Gear title without Kojima: Surviving Metal Equipment. Released in 2018, this co-op zombie survival game was not well received.
