Meta wants you to have multiple Facebook and Instagram accounts

Meta is bringing in two of its social media apps – Facebook and Instagram – closer than ever, with the introduction of two new features that encourage users to have multiple accounts. New features started rolling out recently, making it easy for users to create new accounts and switch between them.
The new user interface for switching profiles will allow users to switch between the two apps through the app itself, as if the accounts were added in the same Account Center. Furthermore, the new interface will display all of a user’s Facebook and Instagram profiles in one place, along with notifications for each profile.
Not only this, but Meta also introduces a simplified login and registration process for both Facebook and Instagram. Users who sign up for Facebook or Instagram can create an account on either app and use that account to create additional profiles on both Facebook and Instagram. Similarly, users can log in to their other profiles with a single tap.
These new features are currently being tested globally on iOS, Android and web.
Meta says existing security measures will still be in place even after these updates.
If a user has two-factor authentication enabled, then no one will be able to log into Instagram with a Facebook account or vice versa on an unauthorized device. Users will be notified about the creation of a new account and also the addition of a new account to their account. Furthermore, users can decide which accounts they want to display in the account switching interface.
