Meta allows users to connect their wallets, share digital collections on Facebook, Instagram in the US

Meta announced that Instagram and Facebook users in the US can now connect their wallets and share their digital collections on their controller. Users can also cross-post their digital collections on both these platforms. The development comes almost two months after the company expanded its non-fungible token (NFT) support on Instagram to 100 countries in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Middle Eastand the Americas (including India).
It should be noted that only users located in the US will be able to connect their wallets but people in 100 other countries on different continents will only be able to share their NFT on Instagram. Additionally, Facebook and Instagram users in the US can connect their wallets including Rainbow, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Walletand Dapper Wallet to post digital collections minted on Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow.
How to share your NFT on Instagram or Facebook
To share your NFT on Facebook or Instagram, users need to update their app to the latest version. Once done, they can connect their preferred wallet by selecting the “digital collectibles” tab in Setting. A message will pop up and guide you through the entire digital wallet connection process. Once done, press “OK” to confirm the wallet connection.
Once their wallets are connected, creators and collectors will have the ability to select NFTs from their wallets that they want to share on Instagram. The digital collection will have a shimmer effect and may display public information, such as a description of the NFT. Posts will also show up on the creator or poster’s profile.
Furthermore, creators and collectors can be automatically credited in digital collectible posts. However, automatic attribution depends on their privacy settings. Meta has previously announced that there will be no fees associated with posting or sharing a digital collection on Instagram.
