A wild car chase ended in an armed robbery on the streets of New York City on Saturday afternoon. It looks like a scene from Vin Diesel’s ‘Fast & Furious’ series or a leaked scene from Rockstar’s highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) video game. Except, it is not.
The robber crashed his black Mercedes into a Toyota Rav4 and then took a bag of money from its driver on the Upper East Side. He made $20,000 in cash, New York Post reported cite law enforcement sources.
Dramatic video taken by viewers shows the black Mercedes deliberately hitting the silver SUV and turning into another lane as tires screeching throughout the scene. It smashed the Toyota again, forcing it onto the sidewalk. The next frame shows a man, with a gun, stepping out of the sedan.

The man in a gray sweatshirt and black pants banged hard on the passenger window of the SUV. He was later seen jumping into the Mercedes with a black bag.
The chaos shocked passersby as one was seen jumping for cover. “He has a gun! He has a gun!” a viewer can hear screams in one of the videos.
“The suspect fled the location in the vehicle,” a police spokesman told The Independent. “There have been no arrests and the investigation is still ongoing.”
