Megan co-wrote her songs “Body,” “Cry Baby,” and “Thot Sh*t,” which earned her the title. YC co-wrote the Moneybagg Yo hit singles “Time Today” and “Wockesha,” as well as Pooh Shiesty’s “Back in Blood,” leading him to also win the title.
As many of you know, Megan Thee Stallion has released her second year studio album “TraumazineLast month, and so far, she released the album’s lead singles “Pressurelicious”, “Her”, and recently, she shared the official music video for the single “Ungrateful” featuring Key Glock’s presence.
YC shared how grateful he was for the recognition and said, “Grateful for the blessing. Never did I think in a million years I would be musician of the year. Let’s goo I appreciate everyone who has supported me, let’s move on. “
The awards show also honors Busta Rhymes, who received the Icon Award. BMI shared that he received the honor for “his defining impact on hip-hop and mentoring the next generation of talent.”
