Meet Indias First Wheelchair Food Delivery; His story will melt your heart


The internet has made our lives much easier with all kinds of information available in just one click. But we may not realize how it also stimulates our psychological and emotional behavior. There are many inspirational stories about unstoppable people who try to find every stop to achieve their goals. These stories have inspired and motivated us to work hard to fulfill our dreams. Today, we discovered another heartwarming story on our feed – about a resilient man facing adversity.

Ganesh Murugan is a 37-year-old man from Chennai who delivers food to people in wheelchairs. About six years ago, he suffered a severe spinal cord injury after being hit by a truck, leaving him partially paralyzed. Not worried about the incident, he tried to continue his work by using a motorized wheelchair to deliver the goods.

IPS officer Dipanshu Kabra shared the story on his Twitter ‘@ipskabra’.

Dipanshu Kabra also revealed that the motorized 2-in-1 wheelchair was designed by a startup from IIT Madras. The wheelchair has a push button that is removable and the rear part can be used as a basic wheelchair. This helps Ganesh reach tall buildings and other places where riding can be difficult.

Dipanshu Kabra also shared that this wheelchair takes 4 hours to charge and can run for a distance of up to 25 km. Praising Murugan, he wrote, “Ganesh Murugan is an inspiration to all those who succumb to difficulties instead of fighting them.”
