NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and only transgender candidate in the competition for the MCD polls- Bobi – on Wednesday won from Sultanpuri Wardaccording to the State Election Commission.
Bobi defeats congressional candidate Varuna Dhaka with 6,714 votes.
After being chosen to represent the party, Bobi said she wanted to beautify her constituency and improve the lives of her neighbours.
Bobi has said that she will work to eliminate corruption from Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD).
