Lando Norris says Max Verstappen is always at the limit in every practice session and is ‘one of the most talented drivers ever’ but wonders if he wants to try his McLaren

Lando Norris hailed Max Verstappen as one of Formula 1’s fastest drivers ever as the Dutchman finished with a second world title, but admitted it was “frustrating” when not being able to race him because of McLaren.

After his controversial first championship against Lewis Hamilton last year, Verstappen beat his rivals in 2022 and five consecutive wins give him a chance to claim the drivers’ crown at the Singapore GP. This weekend, the first of six races left this season. .

Norris is considered by many to possess abilities similar to those of those riders, and has competed against them in the junior categories, although so far, despite his flash of success, he has had to spend playing time in F1 in a less competitive McLaren.

He said he was being patient, but admitted it was “frustrating”.
