Matter, a tech startup based in Ahmedabad, has announced that it will launch its first electric vehicle on November 21, the company says it will be an “e-bike” sports”. The main highlight of the new electric motorcycle is that it will feature India’s first liquid-cooled battery pack. At the moment, there are no details about the vehicle’s design, battery capacity or range.

The company says that the battery pack has undergone rigorous testing to ensure safety and reliability. This is the first time a manufacturer in India has used a liquid-cooled battery pack.

The upcoming batch of electric sports motorcycles will be assembled at the company’s new Changodar plant in Ahmedabad. The production facility spread over 2,00,000 Sq ft will produce 60,000 units with an expanded capacity of 2,00,000 units per year. In the coming years, the company will directly and indirectly employ 1000 people.

The company is planning to enter the market with an omni-channel approach through experience centers and reseller models, with the goal of providing a connected experience for potential customers. The distribution network will be established in 4 phases, starting with Tier 1 markets, then reaching India.
