So, what is the Goss about Matt from Bros?
Could there be too much good? I’m just asking, because Matt Goss seems to be predicated on total cultural domination.
Goss, who found fame in the 1980s pop group Bros, is one of the most anticipated stars of this year’s Serious Dance, which begins Friday night.
He’s Taking Over: So What’s the Goss on Matt from Bros? Could there be too much good? I’m just asking, because Matt Goss seems set on total cultural domination
While it’s common to use Serious as a springboard for another project, the former pop star seems to be taking things to the next level.
A comeback single, Are You Ready, was released last month, but did not enter the Top 40.
Now Matt is taking steps towards an acting career – like his twin brother and bandmate Luke, who has appeared in more than 50 post-Bross films.
One to watch: Goss, who rose to prominence in the 1980s pop group Bros, is one of the most anticipated stars of this year’s Serious Dance, which begins Friday night
Matt will star opposite Dame Joan Collins and Craig Fairbrass in The Stork Club, a gangster drama set in the 1970s.
“I play a very cruel character, which is what I have always wanted to do,” he said.
The film is being produced by Jayney Mackie, who made the 2020 romcom The Loss Adjuster, starring… Luke Goss!
Ambitious Matt also wants to produce a automatic musical about Bros, having seen the success of movies like Rocket Man.
Plus, he wants to launch a range of homeware and clothing: Goss rather than Goop.
‘I’ve been around people in my life who’ve created great brands, and for me, that’s been the dream. It’s not just about financial returns. It’s something that I can leave behind, as is my music. ‘
Dance to Strict premieres at 7pm on Friday on BBC One
