Mathletic Hammers for €500,000 to the top of Arqana online

King (GB) of Mathematics (Fr) (lot 1), second in the G3 Prix de Fontainebleau, topped the Arqana December Online Sale for €500,000 from Ballymore Stables Australia/Paul Moroney Bloodstock. Also second in Listed Prix Tantieme, the double winner is the half brother of GIII Seaway heroine S. Marbre Rose (Smart Strike), as well as Gidu (Ire) (Ire) (Frankel {GB}) and female winner Avitress (Ire) (Shamardal) of female winner of Prix de Saint-Cyr are listed. Large family with GI winner Selene S. Zoftig (Cozzene) and her I award winning daughters Zo Impressive (Spin hard) and Zaftig (Go West).

Set group of three Gregolimo (Fr) (Galiway {GB}) (lot 15) is also coming to Australia, after being purchased by Ballymore and Moroney for €220,000. Part of the Simone Brogi draft, the 4-year-old won the Nureyev Listing Award at the age of 3.

Wertheimer et Frere deposit Ondulee (Ire) (Adlerflug {Ger}) (lot 2) belongs to Stroud Coleman Bloodstock. The 3-year-old girl who won €150,000 has twice been placed at the listed level and is the daughter of the listed winner Wanderina (Ire) (Manduro {Ger}). Hong Kong star Akeed Mofeed (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) and two-time Group 1 winner turned gentleman Hernando (Fr) (Niniski) are also members of the family.

Coming in at number two on Thursday’s chart is a 1/50th rate of rising bulls Zarak (dad), whose oldest ponies are only 3 years old, brought in €450,000 for David Redvers Bloodstock. The son of Dubawi (Ire) and Arc heroine Zarkava (Ire) (Zamindar) already has nine stake winners to his name, five at team level led by our beloved Purplepay (Fr) heroine seven-figure auction G2 Prix de Sandringham (Fr), who finished third in the G1 Criterium International.

Another six-figure lot for the day is lot 11, 1/50 of King of Persia (Ire). The Success Bloodstock agency spent €150,000 to purchase the three-time French Classics winner Group 1. Gestut Sohrenhof won 1/50 of the group 1 shares. Almanzor (Fr) for €70,000. Manzoice of the pony (Aus) won the G1 Victoria Derby earlier this year.

Winners listed and third G3 Prix du Prince d’Orange Epic Poet (Ire) (Lope De Vega {Ire}) (lot 18), offered by Jean-Claude Rouget, failed to meet his reserve and passed for €370,000.

At the end of the transaction, 15 of the 19 lots changed hands with a total value of €1,845,500.
