Marvel Snap will have a PVP battle mode before the end of 2022

Comic card player Marvel Snap will add a two-player battle mode later this year. The developers’ second dinner told Washington Post that an update to the free-to-play game on PC and mobile aimed at powering the heroes and villains of the Marvel Universe against each other will land before 2023 begins. That’s cool and all, but if you have 30 seconds do yourself a favor and check out the barely superhero Japanese trailer for the Marvel Snap below.

Marvel Snap’s Japanese trailer has a very catchy tone.

I will sing in my head all day. Marvel Snap’s battle mode is part of the development roadmap Second Dinner shared when the game launched last month. Instead of the quick combat of ranked mode, the battle mode will consist of multiple matches with friends until one player’s health disappears. Marvel Snap’s capture system, which allows players to bet they’ll win so they can score more rank points from matches, slightly different in battle mode – you’ll bet health instead of rank . You can read the full route here.

If you don’t mind the sound of the battle or the ranked modes there are always unranked ones, also still in development as of now. That will allow you to compare decks and strategies against other Marvel Snap players before moving into modes where winning and losing matters. Superheroes and comics used to be a huge deal for me, so I’ll give it a Marvel Snap at some point. Honestly, mostly for presentation, because there’s some decent card art to look at.

Marvel Snap is a free download to play on Steam for PC, but you can tap it on your iOS or Android phone if you like too. I guess Iron Man can play it on his armor.
