Maruti Suzuki S-Presso Xtra Edition Launches With New Accessories, Coming Soon


Maruti Suzuki has revealed a new version of the S-Presso Xtra on its social medias, hinting at an impending price announcement. The new Maruti Suzuki S-Presso Xtra Edition brings new accessories to the hatchback for a more rugged look and is likely to be available on the top-end VXI+ variant.

The new one Maruti Suzuki S-Presso The Xtra Edition brings a bit of ‘excess’ to the hatchback. This includes the front skid plate, chrome trim on the grille, black trim on the wheel arches, door panels, as well as interior color accents. Aesthetic upgrades are intended to give the S-Presso a more aggressive look and it is likely that accessories will be available at dealer level.

The cabin is also subtly upgraded in the form of new seat covers with white stitching and trim, contrasting red accents on the center console, door pads and AC vents. The Xtra version comes complete with new floor mats as part of the package.

There are no mechanical changes to the car and it continues to come with the same 1.0-litre K-Series petrol engine that makes 65hp and 89Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and an AMT transmission. The S-Presso remains one of the more fuel-efficient cars in India and consumes 24.76 km/l on the manual and 25.30 km/l on the AMT. There is also a CNG-equipped version. That said, the S-Presso also scored low on safety and received a one-star safety rating in the latest round of Global NCAP crash test results.

The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso lineup starts from $4.25 lakh for basic standard MT version, up to VXI(O) AMT priced $5,65 thousand. S-Presso VXI+ variant priced at $5.49 lakh (all prices, old showroom in Delhi). Expect the new S-Presso Xtra Edition to cost a little more than the current asking price. In other news, Maruti Suzuki will raise prices across its entire range starting next year.
