Mark Twain Award Propaganda Jon Stewart, Skip Cancel Culture

Imagine gathers the biggest names in comedy and remove the existential threat to creative freedom.

The minds behind the Mark Twain Awards organized one such effort on Sunday to honor Jon Stewart for its latest honors. Stewartthe driving force behind “The Daily Show” during the Obama years, which won the prestigious award for giving birth”Full front,“” The Late Show,” “”Last week Tonight” and other late-night propaganda shops.

Some legacy.

And none of the attendees had the guts to do Cancel Culture, according to the DC-based gala press. That’s important in part because it’s the first Mark Twain event since COVID-19 crippled the nation and much of the world.

What better time to slay the cultural dragon that affects every part of the comedy community?

Except for the guest of honor who was recording speaking Cancel Culture Doesn’t Exist … The day before protecting his good friend Dave Chappelle from a Cancel the Culture attack.

It got worse.

Stewart’s speech praised comedy as an important defense against authoritarians. It’s amazing…on paper.

“When society is at stake, comedians are the first to be kicked out. It’s just a reminder to everyone that democracy is at stake. Authoritarians are a threat to comedy, to music, to thought, to poetry.”

Or, in the event that the vaccine mission proves to be much less effective than advertised, people’s livelihoods.

Stewart even mocked those concerned about Cancel Culture’s midway speech.

“It’s not the pronoun police – it’s the secret police. It always has and it always will,” he said.

It’s a shame.

That trick ignores people losing their jobs because of using the pronoun “wrong”. It also downplays what comedians face in our waking times.

Self-censorship, for beginners.

Even freestyle black comics like Showtime’s standout Desus & Mero just admit that. Others shape their behavior around social justice, praying any problematic jokes from their past won’t “recur” at the worst possible time.

Amy Schumer, one of three recent Oscar hosts, said she prepare her barbaric goals first so she doesn’t get burned.

Gorgeous and brave.

And then there’s the fact that most modern comedians give Team Biden a comedy ticket or cheer him on. Millions of people are suffering from sky-high gas prices and soaring inflation, just to name a few Biden-era illnesses.

Even so, our comic book enthusiasts can’t leave a crack about it. Some people tell the truth.

The Kimmels, Colberts, Noahs and other descendants of Stewart would rather choose Fox News cable presenters than leaders of the free world.

Oh, and they won’t touch this powerful leader either.

Cowards, a lot of them. Cheat. Jokesters, but hardly in the healthiest sense of the word.

The biggest irony?

Event organizers invited Chappelle to join the festival. Is he being told, “ix-nay on ancel-kay ulture-kay?” Or is he significantly focused on the honoree, you know he did a lot of workand fight, Cancel Culture as it is?

Chappelle is not the place to raise an elephant in the comedy room. That Stewart, everyone, couldn’t do the heavy lifting as the spotlight turned to mock the coveted Twain bust he now calls his own.
