The tension between Kentucky’s basketball and football coaches didn’t seem to have dissipated a few days after it went public.
Kentucky Football Coach Mark the stop did not back down from his criticism of basketball coach John Calipari on Saturday. The stop is still not satisfied with The comments that Calipari made were considered disrespectful by many of the football program and its achievements.
Stoops said Saturday that he will defend his players when others make “distrusting and distracting” comments about their achievements. The football coach added that he has not spoken to Calipari about the remarks, but it certainly does not appear that he is in a conciliatory mood.
