‘Manish Sisodia is today’s Bhagat Singh’: BJP, Congress seek AAP apology for comparison | India News

NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday compared with Delhi Deputy Minister Manish Sisodia with freedom fighters Bhagat Singh when summoned for questioning by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the alleged alcohol scam. However, AAPenemy of BJP and Congress condemned the comparison and demanded an apology from its leaders.
Before leaving CBI headquarters on Monday morning, Sisodia seek his mother’s blessing and go to the Rajghat concentration of Mahatma Gandhi. He alleges that he is being ensnared by the Narendra Modi government that does not want him to campaign in the upcoming Gujarat assembly elections.
Wearing a mustard colored scarf, the Delhi consumption and education minister waved the national flag and drove an open car, followed by a convoy of supporters as he left home. It’s like Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut, who made a spectacle of himself under his summons, before being arrested by the Department of Enforcement (ED) in an alleged money laundering case in August.
AAP Wallets Sisodia to Bhagat Singh
Several top AAP leaders attacked the Modi government on CBI’s summons and said he would be arrested. They claim that Sisodia is being framed in a fake case to prevent him from campaigning in Gujarat.
While posting their tweets with the hashtag ‘Modi arrested Spanish Sisodia, AAP leaders compared the deputy minister to Bhagat Singh.
Chief Minister of Delhi and Leader of AAP Arvind Kejriwal said prison bars and hanging noose could not stop Bhagat Singh’s noble intentions. “This is the second fight for freedom. Manish and Satyendra (Jain, who is in jail in a money laundering case) are the Bhagat Singh of today. After 75 years, the country has an education minister who has given good education to the poor and gives hope for a bright future. He said.

Delhi Council Vice Chairman Jal and AAP national spokesman Saurabh Bharadwaj said the country had asked for Sisodia’s sacrifice. “Like Bhagat Singh ji, he will die for his country. The nation is proud of Manish ji,” he said.
AAP MLA Atishi Marlena said Sisodia arrived at CBI headquarters wearing Bhagat Singh’s “basanti” color. “Delhi people have taken to the streets to bless him because the BJP is arresting Manish ji who is shaping the future of tens of thousands of poor children,” she said.

Punjab AAP chief spokesman Malvinder Singh Kang tweeted: “The S Bhagat Singh ideology is in our blood and veins. We will continue to walk on the path pointed out by an Immortal Martyr. Mr. Sisodia Ji is the forerunner of the educational revolution. These fearsome tactics by the BJP cannot weaken our resolve against the fascist #ModiArrestsManishSisodia.”

Congress condemns AAP
Parliamentary leaders protested their AAP counterparts for likening Sisodia to Bhagat Singh.
Lok Sabha MP from Sri Anandpur Sahib in Punjab Manish Tewari said, “Shaheeds (martyrs) Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar have a very special place in the community of heroes that Punjab – in fact The fact is that the Punjabs are on both sides – reverent. Comparing them to any dead person does not honor their memory or sacrifice. ”

Calling Sisodia corrupt, the MLA Congress from Bholath in Punjab Sukhpal Singh Khaira asked Kejriwal to apologize. He said, “We Indians ask Arvind Kejriwal to unconditionally apologize for offending Shaheed Bhagat Singh ji by comparing our icon to meek and corrupt leaders like Manish Sisodia and Satyender Jain is facing corruption charges. Bhagat Singh sacrificed his life for India while they were ‘plundering’ India. ”

BJP asks AAP to apologize
BJP senior leaders also examined the AAP for comparison and demanded an unconditional and immediate apology from its leaders.
BJP (organization) Secretary General BL Santhosh said, “Anarchist Party leader Arvind Kejriwal compared his minister in prison Sri Satyendra Jain and ED-CBI raid DCM Sri Manish Sisodia to Shaheed Bhagat Singh. From inciting anti-corruption through lokpal to brazen stances on corrupt leaders being investigated.”

BJP spokesman Shehzad Jai Hind alleged that AAP leaders played the victim card. He said, “We have a PAN card, an Aadhar card – AAP has a permanent victim card! They played this game for Tahir Hussain then Satyendra Jain! Both are still in prison! If everything is fake, why did Kejriwal revert to the corrupt New Sharab policy? He declares you guilty! After facing impending defeat in Gujarat according to all first investigations, they have launched Gopal Italia and now another diversion victim card. But notice how they run away from specific questions and tons of evidence piled up against them in Sharab Ghotala! It’s a shame they call Gandhi ji and Bhagat Singh ji”.

Another spokesman Gaurav Bhatia was heavily disappointed in the AAP. Speaking on the party’s official podium, he said, “These days Arvind Kejriwal compares himself to god and his ministers to freedom fighters. I would like to tell Mr Kejriwal that he should be ashamed to do so as his corrupt ministers are filling his warehouse while Bhagat Singh sacrifices his life for the country”.

Party leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa said the comparison was unacceptable. “Bhagat Singh is the one who chose to be a martyr to liberate the motherland. Using his name to save corrupt AAP leaders cannot be excused! Kejriwal Ji, you can continue your dramas but please stop assigning Bhagat Singh’s name. An Indian Sikh committed to working for humanity, community and nation. Humbly and fearlessly raise my voice on just issues. Every Indian wants the Aam Aadmi Party to apologize for misusing Bhagat Singh Ji’s name and linking it to a corrupt booze mafia! ”

Another BJP leader from Mumbai Priti Gandhi mocked AAP leaders for comparing Sisodia to different historical personalities. “First Sisodia claimed he was a descendant of Maharana Pratap. Kejriwal then equated him with Bhagat Singh. Now Sisodia says he is tormented like Gandhi ji! It’s ironic for an alcohol scammer to compare himself to a man who has fought to ban alcohol his whole life!!

Besides BJP, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) also joined AAP for comparison. VHP spokesman Shriraj Nair said, “The great Bhagat Singh who sacrificed his life for the nation was offended by Arvind Kejriwal and his comrades for political gain. How low can one fall…”
