Man ordered Biryani from Zomatos New Intercity Delivery, received Salan only
India has a rich culinary treasure spread across different states. As you travel across the length and breadth of the country, you’ll find that each state and region has plenty of delicious recipes that everyone will love. Zomato recently launched a new interstate delivery service that will deliver iconic dishes from different regions of India to your door. According to the terms of service, food will be kept refrigerated throughout the journey which will take at least a day to complete. Recently, a customer from Gurgaon tried to order some biryani from the legendary Shadab hotel in Hyderabad but ended up being disappointed. The reason is that he only has Salan and Biryani missing from his order! Take a look at what customers wrote on Twitter:

Biryani is really a hobby that is loved by many people and is famous throughout the country. In particular, Hyderabad’s biryani is world famous and a highlight of the city’s culinary landscape. Twitter user Prateek Kanwal narrated the funny incident about his biryani order on his personal page. He said that the chicken biryani was missing from his order and all he got was Salan! “Ordered chicken biryani from Hotel Shadab using Zomato’s interstate lore service and all I got was a small box of salan,” he wrote on Twitter. He spoke to Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal and added, “This seems like a great idea but my dinner plans are currently in the works. Now, you owe me a Biryani. in Gurgaon!” He also revealed that he is not only a customer but also a shareholder of Zomato.
The humorous post by customer Zomato has received a lot of likes and comments from Twitter users who may be related to his biryani blues. Many of them shared smiley emojis and reacted similarly to the post.

Zomato was quick to respond to the complaint on Twitter. They then managed to keep track of his biryani order and in the meantime even arranged a replacement biryani for him. “Credit is due! The customer service man and product manager of the interstate legend Zomato not only tracked my biryani, but also sent me an additional biryani from Biryani By Kilo! Problem solved! settled. At least, as a shareholder, I feel good about the service customer,” he wrote in his tweet. Watch:
