Lotte will cooperate with Shaft, releasing a limited-time edition Puella Magi Madoka Magica its versions Koala March Snacks. They are only available online, and purchasing the entire set will get you a clear file for free. [Thanks, Oricon!]
There are two versions of the box. One version uses stills from the anime, such as Madoka lying on the grass in the opening credits or Sayaka’s heroic pose after she first appears as a magical girl. The second version uses promotional images of the girls but they all have the signature ears and nose of the Koala’s March mascot.
As mentioned before, Puella Magi Madoka Magica Koala March Snack (official name Madoka Magic‘s March) will not be available in physical stores. You can just buy them through Lotte online store from October 3, 2024. In the first production run of Madoka MagicIn March, Lotte will sell 3,500 limited-time sets that come with all 10 designs as well as a clear original. The front of the file will show the girls looking like their normal selves, then the back will show their koala ears and nose. As for the cost, it will be around 3980 JPY or 27.20 USD and the entire product will come in a special box featuring the five main girls.
This collaboration appears to be part of the Koala’s March 40th anniversary campaign. Koala’s March is a small cookie with a sweet filling. The filling is usually sweet chocolate, but there are as many variations as the filling apple pie flavor for Hello Kitty or the more popular strawberry. Puella Magi Madoka Magica will also celebrate because Walpurgisnacht increased movie (originally announced as part of 10 year anniversary) will appear around 2025.
