Madhya Pradesh Men Thrash Cows, Force Them Into Swollen River
Bhopal:
After video footage of a group of men beating cows and forcing them to jump in a swollen river in Satna district went viral, Madhya Pradesh police registered a case against them under the Prevention Act stop cruelty to animals.
The incident happened from a culvert on the Bihad River between Ghuisa and Bidhui Khurd villages of Mukundpur police station.
The video shows a group of men grazing more than a dozen cows into a narrow flooded bridge and brutally beating them repeatedly with long wooden sticks. Cows can be seen trying to run away, many of them jumping into the river. As some of them attempt to get inland, one of the men can be seen hitting them again to push them into the river.
