Singer and actor Macy Gray shared her experience using Ozempic and how she dealt with its side effects.

Based on EVERYBODYGray opened up about her experience with the drug in a new episode of MTV’s ‘The Surreal Life’. The 56-year-old is said to have spoken to her co-stars about how Ozempic affected her digestive system.
“Oh my gosh, my stomach hurt. I was so constipated,” Gray told his co-stars, recalling the experience. “I took Ozempic. I couldn’t go to the bathroom, and I was up all night.”
The article added that during a confessional on the show, Gray delved into why she used drugs.
“Quietly put, I’m a pretty vain person. I’ve put on a lot of weight over the past few years…” she is said to have explained. “So I thought, okay, I’m not going to use [the weight] right track, let me see if I can get one of these Ozempics.”
Additionally, Gray explained that she was trying to lose weight ahead of her time on ‘The Surreal Life’.
“I’m really trying to take it off. [the weight] before the show because I didn’t want to be fat on TV, but now I am,” she said.
A new study has revealed more information about the use of Ozempic
Amid Gray’s recent comments, a new study is said to have shed more light on the potential benefits of using the drug. According to NewsweekResearchers from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine studied the ability of Ozempic to curb a person’s urge to smoke.
Their study is said to have used the experiences of Ozempic users with type 2 diabetes, “who noticed a reduced desire to smoke while taking the drug”.
Additionally, researchers are reportedly studying the effects of Ozempic on “the treatment of tobacco use disorders (TUDs).” However, the news outlet notes that “further clinical trials” will need to be conducted.

Meanwhile, Gray isn’t the only celebrity to recently share their experiences with the diabetes weight loss drug. Shade room As previously reported, Kandi Burruss spoke about her experience with the drug in June.
At the time, Burruss revealed to Page six that she took the drug in 2023. However, it failed to curb her appetite.
“The sad thing is when you see it working for someone else and it’s not working for you, it gets frustrating,” she explains. “…It makes you feel like, ‘What’s wrong with me? Why isn’t it working for me?’”
Ultimately, Burruss explains that after she left Ozempic and adopted a new approach to weight loss, she began to achieve her goals.
