Macross Super Dimension Fortress is the first anime series in the series. Originally aired from October 1982 to June 1983 in Japan, the show had 36 episodes. Macross: Do You Remember Love? is a film adaptation of the original anime series, with new animation. The full name of the anime is Macross Super Dimension Fortress: Do You Remember Love?and was released in Japan on July 21, 1984.
Meanwhile, Macross Flash Back 2012 is a collection of music videos belonging to the original Cross Macro animated series and Do you remember love? film, released in 1987 to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the original anime series. The OVA series consists of 6 episodes Macross II: Lovers Again was released from May to November 1992 and was the first installment in the series to feature a new cast of characters. Finally, Macross Zero is an anime series that serves as a prequel to the original anime series and was released from December 2002 to October 2004.
