DEHRADUN: Cricket star Rishabh trousers miraculously survived traffic accidents – despite his multiple injuries – while driving his Mercedes GLE from Delhi to his hometown of Roorkee early Friday.

Sushil Kumar, driver of Haryana Road bus, and his conductor Paramjeet Nain were the first to rush towards star cricketer Rishabh Pant’s overturned car to help him. Kumar was also the one who called the police on emergency number 112 to inform them of the near-fatal crash early Friday morning.
Speaking to TOI, Kumar, a Haryana resident, said he was “still shocked” by what he witnessed.
“I was driving towards Delhi when all of a sudden I saw a speeding car hit the divider railing and then rolled to the opposite side of the road and turned into a fireball. Thought the car would hit the car. After our bus, I braked sharply about 50 meters away, it and ran towards the bus with (conductor) Nain I didn’t know who the driver was and pulled him out safely. There, I learned that he was Rishabh Pant, a member of the Indian cricket team, but I didn’t recognize him because I don’t watch cricket much,” Kumar said.
He added that he then notified the police, who arrived at the crash site within 10 minutes while Nain called an ambulance.
Kumar, who collected Pant’s valuables and delivered them to him in the ambulance, said the Almighty was with Pant. “All I can say is that the Almighty wants us to save him. He (God) made us do all this to save a life without even knowing who he is.”
Although the driver did not recognize Pant, several passengers on his bus who followed him to the wrecked vehicle recognized the cricketer immediately.
