Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance for the first time

WI am very impressed with Lucid Air Dream version earlier this year, even though it’s just a pre-production car. Well, the automaker has spent time behind the wheel of its latest Grand Touring Performance model with all the right hardware and software ready to go. Here’s a Lucid you can actually buy – though prices start at $179,000. We have to say, it was better than expected.

The Grand Touring and Grand Touring Performance give Lucid the promise to surpass German sports sedans in an all-EV package. The new automaker was so confident in its 1,050-horsepower Performance trim that it brought it to the Goodwood Festival hill-climbing and won the production car category. The $154,000 regular Grand Touring model is a bit slower – it takes 3 seconds to hit 60MPH, instead of 2.6 in Performance – but you’ll get an extra 70 miles of range (516 total, compared to the Performance’s 446. capacity).

All that said, the Lucid Air GT models are more than just fast electric sedans. Check out the video below for the full story.
